Peter and Daisy are the authors of Mastering the Financial Dimension of Your Practice: The Definitive Guide to Private Practice Development and Financial Planning published by Brunner-Routledge in July, 2004 & chosen as the Main Selection of the Behavioral Science Book Club in March 2005.
Peter and Daisy are the authors of Mastering the Financial Dimension of Your Practice, the first book of its kind on finances for mental health professionals.
Peter and Daisy are much in demand as presenters and workshop leaders across the country and internationally. Between them they have a half-century of experience in working with investments and the emotional side of money - Peter as a Chartered Financial Consultant and Daisy as a consultant and psychotherapist.
Peter Cole has a Masters in Social Work from Bryn Mawr College and obtained his Chartered Financial Consultant certification from American College in Bryn Mawr PA. Currently he is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UC Davis School of Medicine, and his class, 7 Steps to Financial Well-Being is a perennially popular offering at the Learning Exchange. He has studied and taught Gestalt Therapy in Europe and the U.S., and serves as a board member and treasurer for the International Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy. Peter has served on the board of directors for Jewish Family Service of Sacramento. He is active in his synagogue and brings a sense of tikkun olam or "healing the world" to his work with clients.
Daisy Reese has a degree in psychology from Vanderbilt University and an MS from the University of Texas. She has been a practicing psychotherapist since 1978. As an entrepreneur/small business owner, she has developed a particular interest and expertise in helping women empower themselves in the financial arena. She is a Certified Group Psychotherapist, a board member for the Northern California Group Psychotherapy Society, a Clinical Member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. She is a longtime student of Sufism and carries a flavor of "soulwork" into her practice.
Peter and Daisy lead retreats on financial psychology in Europe and throughout the U.S. Peter is the author of numerous articles on various aspects of Gestalt therapy, and financial psychology. He publishes a monthly column on money issues and how to resolve them, which is carried by a number of clinical association publications across the country.
